Clashing Heads

Clashing Heads is an entertaining political talk show where left-wing, union lackey and overall do gooder, Alan spars with right-wing, heartless, Tea Party apologist, Jim on various hot political topics and news of the day.

Clashing Heads can be heard Sunday mornings at 8am.

Alan (Our left-wing, union lackey and overall do gooder)

Alan was born in Los Angeles and raised in the San Fernando Valley.  He has lived in Laguna Beach for more than 23 years with his wife Rosalie, a Laguna Beach Sawdust artist.  Alan is active in the Laguna Beach arts community.

Alan has a BA from USC in Cinema Arts.  His professional background spans more than 20  years in movie, television, music and radio.  His career started out as a music concert producer for music and comedy artists including Chicago, Jose Feliciano and Rick Dees.  He is co-creator of the DirectTV television series “Supreme Court of Comedy,” which he co-created with the World’s Famous Laugh Factory.

Additionally, Alan is an entrepreneur and is a member of the Commercial Space Ventures team working on the new frontier of outer space tourism.

Alan donates much of his time to community and progressive political causes.  He is a guest columnist for the Laguna Beach Independent and Laguna Beach Coastline Pilot.  Alan personally sponsored legislation in California having to do with medical care that requires HMOs which go out of business to provide continuing coverage for its individual policyholders.  Another bill he sponsored that was vetoed by Gov. Schwarzenegger would have required doctors to inform their patients about their medical records destruction policy.  He currently serves on the Board of the Laguna Beach Democratic Club.

Alan was honored with the B’nai B’rith Akiba Award “For Outstanding Service to the Jewish Community of Southern California.”  He was recognized with a Certificate of Merit by the Writers Digest for his screenplay, “Mortal Sin,” which he co-wrote with his wife, Rosalie.  He was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the City of Los Angeles for producing music concerts that benefited sports programs for underprivileged youth.

In his spare time, Alan writes screenplays and is a fine art photographer.

Jim (our right-wing, heartless, Tea Party apologist)

Jim was born in Hollywood California, (born to be a star?!) is a 15 year resident of Orange County.

Jim has an MBA from Pepperdine University with 20 years business executive experience in technology, finance and strategy and has written several business plans for start-up companies. Currently he is a member of the Commercial Space Ventures team working on the commercialization of outer space.

In addition to his political acumen, Jim is frequently interviewed for his knowledge of technology and finance trends and publishes the “Bytes from Bits” website.   Along with being a speaker at Technology and Business conferences, Jim is the only two-time Smithsonian Technology Award nominee

Jim is the founder of “Bagged Wine,” a leading blind wine tasting accessory firm and his current venture is as founder of The California Institute of Political Economy and Business, a political think tank to promote economic liberty for individuals and business in California.

In his spare time away from business and politics, Jim golfs, collects wine and enjoys traveling.
